Apples of Your Eye

As with other books by this author, this is a good, basic explanation of how apples grow and the foods made from them. While a few of the images are not completely current the information provided is excellent for this age group. Most importantly, the author explains that while apples can grow from seed, apples are grafted (to guarantee the apple variety). The book does a good job of depicting and explaining one type of grafting.
