The Reasons for Seasons
By Gail Gibbons
As with almost all of Gail Gibbons' books, this one is well illustrated and accurate. The book is a wonderful combination of science (the Earth's revolution around the sun, equinoxes, solstices, impact of the Earth's axis on seasons, etc.) and history. Ancient and modern practices are nicely tied together to describe the impact of the seasons on the natural and human world.
