New STEM app!
We have released a NEW My American Farm app with four STEM games!
Through My American Farm we have released a new STEM app featuring four games! You can download it for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Games available in the app are ideal for students in grades three to five. Once the app is downloaded to a device, games can be played offline anytime!
The four featured games are:
The Great Seed Search (technology)
In this simulation game, players enter coordinates and pilot a plane around the world collecting important seeds. Through challenges in the game, players learn about other cultures, geography and agricultural products.
Keys to Stewardship (science)
In this game, players complete tangrams to learn more about how farmers and ranchers are stewards of the land. Interesting tips on things like crop rotation are given as awards for completing each puzzle.
Thrive (engineering)
In Thrive, students learn how to identify healthy soil, develop strategies to improve soil quality, and how to enhance water quality to understand how soil is a vital part of the natural environment.
Operation Peanut Butter (math)
In partnership with the National Peanut Board, this game was launched to allow students to follow peanuts from the field to the peanut butter in their sandwich.
